current weather: +5C / +15C, partly cloudy
 
it is forecast that air temperatures will be high above zero (upto +14C/+18C) during day time
thus rapid ice destruction will be in progress further.
 
ice breakers assistance completed for all ports on Apr 08/0000lt
 
in the harbours of the port of st.petersburg and farther westward
in the sea channel up to the longitude of kronstadt dam (029 40E)
- open water,
farther westward up to the longitude of the island gogland (027 00E) // abt 70 nm off p/stn
- mainly open water.
 
in the top of vyborg bay –  mainly open water with very open drifting ice
in vysotsk -  mainly open water with very open drifting ice
farther on approaches – mainly open water.
 
in the port of ust-luga and on approaches –  open water.

It is forecasted that the eastern part of gulf of finland will be fully ice free by the mid of April 2024,
which is close to mean annual periods.
